There was an unexpected and sadness event while the table tennis match was going on in Kwara. Timothy Abiara who was a good table tennis player died while he was playing table tennis. The table tennis player slumped and after that he died on Thursday in Ilorin while he was training at the table tennis hall of the State Stadium Complex.
Newsmen reported that Timonthy Abiara represented the State Stadium Complex at both the 2011 and 2012 editions of the National Sports Festival in Port Harcourt and Lagos.

The State Commissioner for Sports, Kale Ayo, described the situation as pathetic, even as he commiserated with the family of the deceased.
The State Director of Sports, Tunde Kazeem, who also confirmed the athlete’s death, described it as a sad and unfortunate situation, which no one does not desire.
